Resume In this obscure and Gothic tale, one attractive girl, Evey (Natalie Portman), gets involved accidentally in a terrorist attack, perpetrated by a masked and megalomaniac character, V (Hugo Weaving). V is following the same steps of Guy Fawkes, a sort of terrorist of the XVII century, who wanted to blow up the English Parlament in London. However, in present time, the Orwellian London lives under the fascist government of Chancellor Adam (Sir John Hurt), and V will fight against his regime, using the power of powder, blowing up important buildings. Evey will be chased by the Secret Police, thinking that she"s the accomplice of V, who will accomplish Fawkes" mission of destroying the Parlament on the 5th of November, in this mixture of The Phantom of the Opera, George Orwell"s 1984, and Batman 962798 vote 2005 David Lloyd James McTeigue genre Sci-Fi

Pres l"un de l"autre... Can we all take a moment and appreciate the acting of Hugo Weaving in this movie? His face was never revealed yet he has impacted this movie and this character with the pure power of his lines! Amazing. Volume is way too low and the music too high. Are you going to kill me now? I killed you ten minutes ago. While you slept. Is there any pain? No. He had to exact vengeance for her actions, but granted her a peaceful passing for her guilt and repentance. Shows that V"s overarching goal wasn"t all about wanton carnage, anarchy, etc., it was about righting a whole lot of wrongs committed under the color of authority.

A new yawn! With no story and action all they do is go on & on about 5th of November big WOW! I was about to fall asleep after the first half an hour and I wanted to turn it off but I kept on watching it hopefully that the story-line might pick up but it didn"t. My attention was on the timer of my DVD Player and I was more interested in the film"s ending not because the twist or anything would reveal in the last reel but it would end the discomfiture. I can"t believe that it is one of the top 250 IMDb movies! It should have been in the bottom 100. The film had nothing but that stupid Guy Fawkes mask if I wanted to see someone wearing a mask I would go to a Halloween party or something. When Evey kissed the mask that is the dumbest thing I ever seen in any movie. James McTeigue must have pulled the script from his bum and was running around his house with it and his wife hit him on the head with a rolling pin and said, You promised me no more rubbish films! It was a complete load of garbage, junk and crap right from start to end of this 2 hours 10 minutes torture device. Recommend this movie to someone you really hate.

This is easily one of the best comic bookmovies ever made. I love Hugo Weaving"s performance as V in V For Vendetta and he nailed it. V is such a interesting characters and i love the story. I was waiting to see this movie for some time i was not one bit!we are talking here about a movie that has action,atmosphere,ideas,symbols,good acting and a very strong message indeed!as another fiction movie,you may be tempted to consider it far from i don"t think the Wachoski brothers picked this subject for movie is supposed to ring a bell, not only to delight, visually be honest, not very many good action movies are being made right is one of the best i"ve ever really gives you adrenaline and characters are very well-contoured and the direction leaves no place for like Sin City one year ago, V for Vendetta brings something new to cinematography, in my opinion.
